I am a self taught artist based in Fordingbridge on the edge of the New Forest, with a passion for drawing and painting faces, people and animals. I love to bring my works to life with a particular attention to detail and realism. I have been painting and drawing portraits on and off for many years and have now decided the time is right to turn my passion into a way to earn a living.

 

I was influenced early on in my life by cartoonists like Charles M Shultz, Jim Davis and Albert Uderzo but then discovered Marvel and DC comics and that really fueled the fire with favourite artists like Neal Adams and John Buscema. Later the discovery of Bill Sienkiewicz and Kent Williams got me into experimenting with painting. I have honed my techniques over the years although other full time jobs have meant my Art time has been limited.

 

My last job was working ten years in the celebration cake industry, designing and creating cakes for supermarkets and I have had my work approved by Licensors like Marvel, TLC, Chapman, BBC, Warner Bros and many more. I even had dinosaur models approved by Paleontologists at the Natural History Museum.
